Make your own tropical green smoothie ...

Tropical green smoothie

This green smoothie is incredibly light and fresh tasting and has a tropical hint to it thanks to the combination of the lime and mint.


1 ball of frozen spinach or two handfuls of fresh (washed thoroughly)

1 handful fresh mint leaves

Juice of 1 lime

½ avocado

Pinch of salt

½ tsp honey

Blend together with some ice and add a dash of extra virgin olive oil and black pepper. These are undetectable and will help the body to absorb the nutrients from the ingredients.

Limes are a good source of vitamin C, spinach contains magnesium which I call the ‘Wonder Mineral’ – essential for muscle function and helps to keep us relaxed. Avocado contains lots of potassium and its’ fat content also helps the absorption of nutrients.
